Marcin Nałęcz-Niesiołowski
was born in 1972 in Gdynia. In 1996 he graduated with distinction from F. Chopin Academy in Warsaw, Prof. B. Madey's class of symphonic and opera conducting. Since January 1997 he has been Managing and Artistic Director of Bialystok Philharmonic. At the same time he is Artistic Director and Conductor of Warsaw Chamber Orchestra ,,Small Philharmonic". He coworks with philharmonic orchestras both in Poland and abroad (Germany, Denmark, Spain, Marocco, Mexico). He gave concerts among others with National Philharmonic Orchestra, NOSPR, ,,Sinfonia Varsovia" Polish Radio Orchestra, Radio Symphonic Orchestra in Cracow and Orchestra of Music Academy of Warsaw. He is also a guest conductor of the Grand Theatre -National Opera in Warsaw. The second area of his interests and activity is the solo singing that he studies under direction of Prof. L. A. Mroz.
He is the laureate of 1" prizes of Polish music competitions - Classes of Violin and Viola in Elbląg and F. Platowna 4" Vocal Competition in Wroclaw where he won also the special Award of Ministry of Culture and Art Grand Prix - Apolline Chariot.
Marcin Nałęcz-Niesiołowski makes archival recording for the Polish Radio and for the film. In his artistic output there are also CDs. Two of them (the first one - piano concerts of Bach, Mozart and Beethoven played by Stas Drzewiecki, with accopaniment of the Chamber Orchestra ,,Small Philharmonic", and the second one - with ,,Fable" of Moniuszko and the 2nd Concert Suite of Peter Tchaikovsky, played by Bialystok Philharmonic) were nominated to the prestigious ,,Fryderyk" award (in the years 1998 and 1999).
He also takes part in many festivals and music reviews (among others Witold Lutoslawski Forum, Warsaw Oratorio Days, Viva il canto).
His various repertoire includes both vocal - instrumental works, symphonic music, operas and primary performance of present Polish music.
