Court Market is organised in a very attractive place – ‘Dworek nad Łąkami’ residence in Kiermusy near Tykocin – a small city full of precious monuments. The residence is located at the Narew river. Tourists can take part in folk parties, visit various stands with folk handicrafts like sculptures, embroidering, smithery or basketry articles and other goods. XVI National Interdisciplinary Rally by Wigierski National Park

This year’s Rally is organised between the 14th -17th of June, on four – one day or several days – routs. It is meant for all who are interested in. The Wigry National Park is accessible to different forms of tourism, therefore 190 kilometres of tracks for hiking and cycling as well as lakes and rivers for water touring had been appointed.
Rally tracks lead through the most beautiful and the most attractive parts of the park. Participants have the opportunity for active rest as well as comprehensive learning of natural and cultural heritage of the park.

Biebrza – Narew 2-11.07.2006
Canoeing rallies by the Biebrza river and the Narew river are meant for young people aged 13-18.
Natural visiting-card of Biebrza Swamps are low peatbogs, in which 270 species of water fowl live and about 1000 species of plants grow. Swamps are the largest mainstay of salmon in the whole country as well.

Czarna Hańcza 15-23.07.2006
Czarna Hańcza is the largest river in the Wigry National Park as well as one of the most important in Suwałki region. The Czarna Hańcza Valley has an unique natural value because of various flora surrounding the river. This is an area of exact protection and for this reason it is almost entirely closed for touring.

Poland Championship in Swimming On Anything
‘It won’t drown what is suppose to swim’

This is the most hilarious competition in Poland, in which participants from different countries take part. Championships are meant for those who would like to present hand-made constructions, floating on water without an engine. This one-day fixture which already has 10 years tradition is organised at the Netta river in Augustów on the last Sunday of July each year.
The number of constructors and spectators taking part in this spectacular entertainment grows steadily each year.  Many concurrent fixtures as well as rock and sailors’ songs concerts are organized.

Podlasie Honey Banquet

The 6th Podlasie Honey Banquet will take place between the 26th -27th of August in Kurowo, at the headquarters of the Narew National Park. This is a kind of festival of the best apiaries from all over the Voivodeship.
Apart from honey, many different bee’s products are offered. Administrators assure the great entertainment, regional cuisine as well as opportunity for tasting the best honey. Quality of honey is tested by Medical University in Białystok. In surroundings of the park’s nature this fixture gathers the exceptional character, and the summer - the taste of honey.

XIX ‘Niemen’ International Bicycle Race

In this year the race takes place between the 22nd - 25th of June 2006 in Grodzieńskie and Podlaskie Voivodeships as well as in Białystok. Prologue and the three first stages of race will take place in Grodzieńskie Voivodeship. The fourth stage from the common start will take place on the 24th of June 2006 on rout: Grodno – Kuźnica Białostocka – Sokółka (volatile bounty) – Szudziałowo (volatile bounty) – Krynki (volatile bounty) Supraśl – Białystok. The finish is at 1 Sokólska Street. The fifth stage of the race takes place on the 25th of June 2006 on Białostoczek housing estate.
The winner of general classification will receive a cup from the Marshal of Podlaskie Voivodeship. The winner of street criterion will receive a cup from the president of Białystok city. One hundred competitors from Poland, Belarus, Lithuania, Moldova and Russia are expected. The main organisers are: Physical education, Sport and Touring Agency in Grodno, Podlaskie Regional Bicycle Association in Białystok.

Orthodox Music Days in Hajnówka

International festival of the Orthodox choral music in Hajnówka is organised in May each year. From over 20 years it entertains with choirs from various countries (such as Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Poland, Finland) and lovers of this kind of Orthodox liturgical singing as well. It is possible to hear concerts in The Trinity Orthodox Church in Hajnówka – exceptional temple of interesting architecture with unique ceramic iconostasis. This is one of the greatest Orthodox churches in Poland, on its two levels there is enough room for over 5000 people. Building of the temple was finished in 1982 and between 1986-1990 Dymitrios Andonopulos done the wall paintings with biblical themes, which create the specific character of this Orthodox church.
